Nathan Outlaw Seafood and Grill

Last week we had the in-laws down to look after the kids – happens once in a blue moon. So where to go on a date on this very rare and special night? Nathan Outlaws Seafood and Grill.

I have had the fortune of regularly shooting Nathan Outlaws food for over seven years and over this time I have enjoyed watching his food evolve. Along the way I have had the pleasure of a good solid nibble, but last week we were lucky enough to enjoy the best feed to date.

Feeling smart casual, we booked a table in Seafood and Grill rather than the fine dining restaurant.  With Redas and Pete on the grill, the food was stupidly good.  Simple in its presentation, for me it had echos of our recent munch around Spain, and for Maria the first Oyster that went beyond OK, to be classed as DELICIOUS.

Impeccable service, and thanks to Ian for some pink magic in a dessert glass at the end of the evening.

If I were marooned on a desert island, I would want it to be a Rock, just across from Padstow.
